  Pre-Concert Conversations

Rachel Barton Pine is always happy to participate in pre-concert conversations and post-concert talk-backs. She can present them by herself or in collaboration with a conductor or other host.

Ms. Pine's presentations include: telling the audience about the history of her repertoire, sharing her personal thoughts about the music, relating humorous anecdotes about the composer or about her experiences with the piece, introducing her violin (a 1742 Guarneri del Gesu with a special connection to Brahms), and discussing her musical background and career. If time allows, she will also take audience questions.

Ms. Pine would also be happy to create a special YouTube video about her upcoming appearance that you can imbed in your site. Please be sure to make your request at least two months in advance.

For more information, please contact Ms. Pine's personal assistant, Tracy Monko, at 312-329-1170 or rbpassistant@aol.com.

Concert preview for the Greenville Symphony

Answering audience questions before Milwaukee Symphony concert

FROM AN AUDIENCE MEMBER
We drove up from West Point MS (150 mi) to hear your concert in Memphis last weekend. I had been listening to your recordings since 1996 and looked forward to your concert for many months. I was especially pleased with your willingness to share your thoughts on Tchaikovsky's concerto before the concert as well as the concert itself and the encore. I knew beforehand only that you were a famous young violinist, so I was glad to see aspects of your personal side and hear your comments about music in general.
